What’s the best way to tell your audience what your destination is like? Should you write a 1,000 words explaining what makes you wonderful, or can you create a customer video and let them share the magic in their own words.
The key to a great customer film is to show as they tell. Use images that portray the emotions your customers are feeling; capture scenes that describe the wonder of your setting.
Don’t just show a talking head for 10 minutes – it’s boring.
Here are some of the short films I’ve created with my travel clients.
Mother’s Always Right, Trevella Park
Molly Forbes of Mother’s Always Right is a fan of camping with lots of luxuries, so we asked her to tell us what made a holiday at Trevella Park so special:
Holiday home owner films, Siblu Villages
Siblu wanted to show potential customers what it is like to own a holiday home at a siblu holiday village in France, so we asked existing owners to give us their stories. With thousands of views, their experiences have been passed on to a wide audience.
By cutting-in drone footage of Siblu holiday villages with customer interviews, I created a film showcasing the experience of owning a holiday home with Siblu:
I interviewed Siblu holiday home owners about their life in France. The resulting films were used on Siblu’s website, emails and with online partners:
Ranger Adventures, Trevella Park
Trevella Park’s new Ranger took star-billing in a short film to showcase some of the activities available:
#CornwallAdventure, Trevella Park
We wanted to bring to life the tweets and pictures from several bloggers who has booked autumnal short breaks in Cornwall, so I created a short film bringing together their favourite posts:
